do likewise.
We also use anti-spam filtering on our emails and we report any Australian

encourage our visitors to do likewise in countries which have equivalent
legislation to Australia. Or to request their legislators enact similar laws
in countries which don't yet have anti-spam legislation; or to toughen existing

South Burnett Health grew from data that was originally collected by the
Southern Queensland Rural Division of General Practice in early 2007.
This organisation believed that easy public access to up-to-date information
about all the health services that were available in the South Burnett via
the Internet was a worthwhile goal which would help many people in the region.
And the South Burnett Online network agreed.
In general - for a variety of reasons - most Australian health systems have
been very backward in the adoption of the Internet. And (in particular) providing
simple, easily-accessible information about basic health services to the public
(eg: the contact details for local GPs, hospitals and other services) is one
area where all levels of Government have failed badly.
South Burnett Health was designed to address this, and the first version
of this website appeared online in 2007 and ran through until early 2009
when the SQRDGP changed to
RHealth and
also changed their direction.
However a second version of the site was relaunched in November 2010 using
the South Burnett Online network's central databases to remove data redundancy
and eliminate the need for medical professionals or health service providers
to list (or update) their details on our network more than once.
This is the version of the site you're viewing now.
